Celestun

Ceslestun is a small fishing village located in the northwest corner of the Yucatan peninsula, forming in itself another small peninsula, only 90 km or one and a have hrs from Merida.

Home to more than 25 thousand flamingos, kingfishers, pelicans, storks, ospreys and temporary home to migratory birds in winter like Canadian pelicans, ducks and more migratory birds, hundreds of insects, mammals, reptiles, lizards, felines the size of jaguars and pumas are the inhabitants of this beautiful place. Surrounded for the most part by red, white and black mangroves as well, it is an estuary formed by salt water from the sea and fresh water from the cenotes, making the water brackish. Here is the perfect place for its muddy bottom for shrimps, crabs and for many fish that come here to spawn. All this environment forms two ecosystems that provide enough food to all these inhabitants, including humans.

You will have the opportunity to admire this beautiful place from a covered boat, we will ride from 45 min to 1 hour, as part of the tour we will visit a small cenote that looks like an spring water, where it is possible to swim, at the end of the tour we can take you to the town to enjoy a while on its beach or to be able to taste a lunch of fresh seafood. (Meals are not included).

After this beautiful experience we will drive you back to your hotel.
