Becan (snake´s way) is an impressive Mayan city that when it was discovered by the chicleros (adventurers who collected the sapote tree sap for the production of chewing gum, due to its high cost, it made the wealthy) Since the XVIII century, they understood the defensive architecture of this place that confused archaeologists who thought that the Mayan civilization was peaceful ,but the water channel that surrounds the center of the city shows the military architecture of the purpose of defending the city and storing Water.
